PENERAPAN KONSELING KELOMPOK REALITASDALAM PEMILIHAN KARIER SISWADI SMA KATOLIK St. BONAVENTURA MADIUN

Abstract

High school students are faced with the need for advanced career selection after completing high school education. Career selection should be prepared as early as  possible  starting  from  students  in  class  X  which  continues  until  students must make a decision in determining his career, namely continuing to college or work.  One  of  the  interventions  that  can  be  done  in  the  selection  of  students' careers is through reality group counseling. Targets and outcomes generated in the implementation of community service were as follows: 1) Making students know  their  career  potential  through  the  pretest  held  at  the  beginning  of  the meeting; the result of career potential test couldhelp students determinetheir career choices. 2) Making students get knowledge about careers and know their interests  and  abilities.  3)  Causing  students  to  be  brave  in  determining  their career   in   accordance   with   their   interests   and   abilities.   4)   Makingthe implementation  guidelines  for  reality  group  counseling  in  choosing  student career; this guide was later expected to be used by counselling teachers to help students determinetheir career choices, 5) Having the article published in any community service journal.
