PEMBERDAYAAN IBU RUMAH TANGGA DI DESA JABON JOMBANG DENGAN MEMOTIVASI KEWIRAUSAHAN SABUN ZAITUN

Abstract

The community service activities were against the background of our partners' problem with regard to the phenomenon of HIV / AIDS in  which Jombang regency ranked 2 in East Java province; the number of infected housewives was 305 people (34%) in Jombang regency. In Jabon village, infected housewives were 31 people. This activity was carried out by training  the housewives in order that they were able to produce soap made of olive oil with new innovations. Hopefully, this would motivate housewives to be independent entrepreneurs at home so that home industries developed well in Jombang regency. This activity aimed to increase independent entrepreneurship interested in making soap from olive oil. Aspects which had to be considered in this activity were the feasibility of college, implementing teams or instructors, materials of the activities, and infrastructure. The results of the activity showed that the infected housewives in Jombang regency had increasing knowledge and understanding of independent entrepreneurship in making soap from olive oil.
