MODEL PROGRAM PENGEMBANGAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN (PPK) UNIVERSITAS KATOLIK WIDYA MANDALA MADIUN
Abstract
The short and medium term goals of Entrepreneurship Development Program at Widya Mandala Madiun Catholic University (WIMA) were to foster an entrepreneurial culture in WIMA through motivating and growing a tenant mindset, training (entrepreneurship workshops/training), industrial visits, assisting tenants. These activities helped the tenants to get and have the competence and skills of entrepreneurial. Through these activities the tenants had the courage to become entrepreneurs and succeeded in becoming new entrepreneurs who were independent and sustainable, with knowledge-based economy. The goal of PPK in WIMA was to produce professional, resilient and humanist entrepreneurs, to open employment opportunities, and to establishthe business units at WIMA and outside. The Entrepreneurship Development Program at WIMA was implemented with three stages; (1) awareness phase (2) entrepreneurship capacity building phase, and (3) new business institutionalization phase. Awareness phase was done through recruitment tests and lectures, entrepreneurial potential tests and personality tests, and/or entrepreneurship seminars. The capacity building phase included business plan writing training, entrepreneurship training, success stories, industry partners, catfish nursery training, tie dye training, business management training, product exhibition facilitation, business coaching/mentoring, interactive dialogue entrepreneurship, product exhibition facilitation, and business website creation. The phase of new business institutionalization was conducted in the form of business assistance, granting assistance funds for supporting/business equipment, supervision, evaluation, and solving problems of tenants.
