PEMANFAATAN TANAMAN SAMBUNG NYAWA SEBAGAI TANAMAN SAYURAN YANG BERKHASIAT OBAT

Abstract

Sambung Nyawa plant is a nutritious vegetable crop that has not been widely known by the people of Madiun. Sambung Nyawa (Gynura procumbens) hasefficacy like anticoagulant, namely diluting blood clotting, stopping bleeding, relieving heat, and cleansing toxins in the body. The parners of the community service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PkM) entitled“ Pemanfaatan Tanaman Sambung Nyawa Sebagai Tanaman Sayuran Yang Berkhasiat Obat,” werea group of people in RT16/RW05, Kelurahan Taman, Kecamatan Taman, Madiun City who generally had not known Sambung Nyawa plant and its benefits. Another condition was the limited ownership of land in the community. The solution offered by the PkM implementing team is to introduce and socialize Sambung Nyawa plant optimally. The methods used in the implementation of this PkM were lectures, demonstrations, and consultations. The output of this PkM was the knowledge about plant Biology and the benefits, the cultivation, the processing, andthe consumption of Sambung Nyawa plants.
